RIFT… yup I did it.

I broke down last night and bough RIFT on STEAM and it was finished downloading by the time I woke up this morning. I’ve heard a mixed review on this game but mostly good words have been said. I figured I’d wait until at least the head start folks were through with things and it was open to all. If there was going to be any cries of discontent about this game they surely would have come from those who were not lined up ahead of time to play. (aka fanboys/girls)

So it will be tonight that I embark on my RIFT journey and I’m sure to blog about it. While the STO feature episodes are spectacular that leads them to get quite the large amount of coverage from my fellow mmo bloggers. Hopefully I will have something be it good or bad to say about the game in the coming days. Probably not bad seeing as how the worst I have ever heard from it was that it was more or less “average” .

If starting a new game doesn’t get my juices flowing I think modifying content and format of this little blog could be in order. However I’m not sure what to write about except my personal trials and tribulations with what I’ve been dealing with and perhaps books if i ever make time away from mmos :P

So… is there anyone out there that wants me to play RIFT with them or am I going in on a solo venture? Also please let me know if there is anything you’d like to hear me write about in specific i think its a good time to review requests :)

    • I don’t see why not! Thanks for Inviting me. :D I’ll look up the CoT guild and whoever I see on as soon as I’m on and roll up a character tonight.

  2. I think the only really negative thing I’ve felt about Rift is the opening area/tutorial. For the first timer going through it, it will probably feel boring. For someone who is creating and alt or has already been through it in beta, it’s even more tedious. But while I do lament the lack of variety in starting areas and the fact you can’t skip the tutorial, I admit there has been very little else in terms of things that bother me, just niggles and other little flaws.
